Descon Engineering is one of Pakistan's leading engineering, procurement and construction companies, founded in Lahore in 1977 by Abdul Razak Dawood with a handful of engineers. It builds and maintains plants and infrastructure for the oil and gas, power, cement, fertiliser, chemical and water sectors, and also manufactures pressure vessels, boilers and industrial equipment. Descon works in Pakistan and across the Gulf, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait, and its manufacturing division has appeared on the Engineering News-Record list. Engineering contracts are awarded through tenders and direct engagement, not walk-in enquiries.
